The 2010 Maine Teddy Bear Show will be July 10, 2010. The theme will be "Christmas In July"... details and exhibitor applications will be available August 1st!

The greatest reward...

In a phone interview today I was asked what I enjoyed most about producing teddy bear shows. Why, the end result of course!!! My answer:

"The greatest reward in producing teddy bear and cloth doll shows is the joyful atmosphere that fills the venue on show day. Artists and collectors have the opportunity to share their passion, exchange hugs and laughter, catch up with old friends and create new ones. The sea of color, texture, shape and style creates a captivating scene. Our giddy inner child comes out as we gaze into the loving, knowing eyes of a bear or hold a doll with a sparkle in her eyes! Amazement, wonder, giggles and love fill the air and become contagious. Next to Disney World, I can’t think of a more magical and imaginative place to be than a teddy bear show!"

Maine Show Postcards

We sent out hundreds of show postcards this week and hope you have sent yours! History has proven time and time again that postcard mailings bring in the greatest number of collectors to a show. I am running ads in many local newspapers, regional antique and tourist publications and in the teddy bear magazines. I've also spent many, many hours distributing posters, postcards and free tickets to businesses (shops, restaurants, hotels, etc.) in the greater Wells Beach/Kennebunk/Ogunquit area.

Please do your part and get those postcards off to the collectors, family and friends on your mailing list as soon as possible!!

Chicagoland Exhibitor Balance Due

Artists participating in the Chicagoland Teddy Bear Show:

The balance of your exhibitor fee is due on July 1, 2009. If you made your deposit by credit card the balance will automatically be charged on July 1. If you paid by check please send the balance in by check or call me with your credit card number by July 1.

We are heavily advertising this show in industry publications as well as in Chicago area newspapers and mailings. Your money is covering these expenses which are incurred months before the show! Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated!
